For Thine is the Kingdom…

I love the prayer, the “Our Father.”

In many ways, I’ve grown to understand it’s the rule book for life – simply, put everything in God’s hands, and give thanks, knowing all is well.

What a confluence of religion, spirituality, “New Age” help, the consciousness conundrum, all wrapped up in the beautiful prayer of a child to their Father.

“Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.” My Creator, Who is eternally above this level of consciousness, I call to You, Who is Holiness.

“Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” May your Kingdom and your Thoughts be evidenced here as they are in the higher levels of consciousness.

The Kingdom of Heaven as a lion lying with a lamb

“Give us this day our daily bread,,,” In the asking for all that is required, we know it is so.

….and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.” Help us use forgiveness to correct the wrong actions and unloving thoughts we perceive in ourselves and in others.

“Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Guide us away from what is untrue so we can know the Truth, for therein lies our salvation.

Having been raised Catholic, we never routinely added the last line, and, I love it:

“For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.” There is a part of me that yet remembers the kingdom with Our Father is our home, our truth, our glory, our eternal omni-beingness. And it is so.

Beautiful, isn’t it? And, all that is required of us is that we be willing, and determined, to listen to that still voice within. 🙂
