“Miraculous” pajamas?

This is an interesting one…

Both my husband and me were trying to exchange his Christmas pajama for the same style, different size. Went physically to the store, no luck, went to the online store, no luck, and searched many, many individual stores’ inventory through the online portal, no luck.

No luck no luck no luck, but, I believe in asking for miracles all the time and asked for one. Surely, there must be at least one pair of the right size in the color he wanted in the nation! He decided to chat online hoping they had better searching tools. The helpful representative said she had located a pair, but when we checked her info against the on line inventory — yup, no luck.

However, she suggested we contact the store’s customer service line, indicating they had other ways to search, so, he gave them a call. It was difficult expressing our frustration in having to individually search stores, but suddenly, the rep said, “oh, this nearby store has the size in that color.” Both of us had checked that store, more than once, but, yes, the inventory now showing the size and color was there. Further, there was now a way to check all the nearby stores simultaneously, (which was not there, literally, minutes before) showing that only this store had the matching inventory.

…and yes, we ran to the store, and there it was, miracle complete!

Now, I’ve always read the ego will always try to deny the miraculous, and create stories about how it was the logical result of x, y, z, and of course, I started experiencing the onrush of “oh, we both much have just missed it when we were looking before,” blah, blah blah.

That’s why I’m logging these events – there is no better teacher than direct experience!
