Recognizing the miraculous…

My husband was desperately wanting to do something, anything different for New Year’s, and, I supported him…

…or so I thought.

He found a situation which hit the main parameters he was looking for, and me –

well, I had a DIFFERENT picture of what that miracle should look like for him, as I now see it in retrospect. As he told me about what opportunity had come to him, my mind started the story-telling

– Dad would be disappointed if we were gone that long (my guilt stories)
– we don’t really HAVE to spend the money, it’s not a necessity (my scarcity story)
– who is this person you’d be buying from (ebay), how do you know he’s not a fake? (my “can’t trust” story)

…you get the idea.

My “ah-hah” is that our prayers, those “miracles” we’re asking for, are being addressed, all the time.

Maybe the biggest miracle of all is the opportunity to open to the opportunity to look at the stories that come up and choose again! 🙂
