My husband was desperately wanting to do something, anything different for New Year’s, and, I supported him…<\/p>\n
…or so I thought.<\/p>\n
He found a situation which hit the main parameters he was looking for, and me –<\/p>\n
well, I had a DIFFERENT picture of what that miracle should look like for him, as I now see it in retrospect. As he told me about what opportunity had come to him, my mind started the story-telling<\/p>\n
– Dad would be disappointed if we were gone that long (my guilt stories)
\n– we don’t really HAVE to spend the money, it’s not a necessity (my scarcity story)
\n– who is this person you’d be buying from (ebay), how do you know he’s not a fake? (my “can’t trust” story)<\/p>\n
…you get the idea.<\/p>\n
My “ah-hah” is that our prayers, those “miracles” we’re asking for, are being addressed, all the time.<\/p>\n
