What is vision?

Trying to contemplate lessons from A Course in Miracles – that, obscured by the dark imaginings of ego, there is light, which is reality – set my mind down the path, if the body’s eyes don’t see, what is vision? In the “ten words” exercise, here’s what came up:

(the ten words – light, joy, happiness, pulchritude, fanciful, ovation, stirring, resonance, barfly, omniscient. I had to look up pulchritude [it means beauty] – how often do you hear that one?)

The light within him shined gloriously
Wearing pulchritude as a virtue, without a hint of vanity
Fanciful trimming gilding the shimmering body
The omniscient purity of innocence

There, the lost, congregating like barflies
Feel the palpable resonance of holiness
The stirring in their hearts becomes irresistible
They rise in a spontaneous ovation to glory

As I first started freewriting on the ten words, I was thinking, oh, maybe this is a “Second Coming of Christ” vignette,. Then I thought, the focus of the Course is that we are all, collectively, Son of God, and, vision is that recognition, that real “seeing” is recognizing every person as their true, pulchritudinous 🙂 light, innocence, and glory.

Wouldn’t that be – glorious?
