Now, here’s a pink heart box, inside a red heart box, inside a white heart box inside that a beautiful huge diamond! And look, there’s Amelia inside the diamond – every facet of the diamond reflects her radiance. A sweetly chirping blue bird carefully grabs the diamond in its feet, and flies to a magic piece of paper.
Wait, wait, wait – magical piece of paper? How would a bird know a piece of paper is magical? Well, her friend, Papi’er, told her he was, of course! Who’s Papi’er? (He pronounces it Poppy-eh, because he’s French, and that’s the French word for “paper”.) Besides, he has “I AM MAGICAL” written in big letters on his front side – see?
Sweet blue bird leaves Amelia’s shining brilliance with Papi’er, who asks, “Where to, Princess?” Amelia thinks, and tells him, “Let’s see the world from way up high, like the blue bird does!” Papi’er is delighted, and folds himself into a paper airplane around the diamond. They take off and are soon higher than the birds fly, higher than the highest mountains, way up above the clouds, looking down at all the beauty in the world.
