Remembering Heaven…

Here we are, Amelia, Ella and Busha, lying on the cool grass watching the clouds slip and dance across the sky.

“Busha, tell me about Heaven,” Amelia pips.

“I so wish to remember Heaven,” sighs Busha.

“Busha, that’s silly!” Amelia laughs. “How could you remember? Heaven is where people go when they die, and you haven’t been dead!”

Busha smiles. “Not that I remember! ! I just have so many questions thinking about heaven – I feel as if I should know, but maybe I just don’t remember! I truly believe there’s a part of us that goes to Heaven when the body dies, but where is that part now? Do I have two parts? I don’t feel as if I have two parts – is the part that goes to Heaven asleep? If part of me knows it’s going to Heaven, it must know there is a Heaven – why does the other part not know? It’s all so very hard to figure out, I feel it’s right there, if I could just remember!”

As Busha stops talking, she sees Amelia and Ella staring at her, mouths hanging open. She laughs, “Too much information, I see. Let’s play…statue!”
